The best place to relax with a cup of coffee/glass of wine and friends in St. Joe. They also serve great food, my favorites including a baked goat cheese salad and the NE clam chowder, yum!

I was disappointed. They had a great concept, and failed to execute. The menu was interesting and exciting but the food was overpriced and bland. My boyfriends standard sandwich was good, but overpriced. The side of barley salad was appreciated but lacked flavor. My portabella sandwich had no seasoning and there was entirely too much bread. I just ate the mushroom because the bread was too much... sadly the mushroom was undercooked. I was also taken aback by how bad the coffee was. I really, really wanted to like this place, but I feel it didn't live up to it's atmosphere and menu. I think people get excited when the see the diversity of the menu and how upscale it sounds... really, it simply wasn't executed very well and I left feeling unfulfilled and jiped.

Great coffee and specialty drinks. Super location and atmosphere. Good food at reasonable prices - this should be no more than two $s.

We ate lunch here while visiting from out of town. I liked the vibe of the place right away--it seemed relaxing and inviting. The gentleman who served us at the counter was super friendly and nice. I had the Georgia Reuben sandwich (a grilled panini) and it was delicious. I tried some of my husband's soup--I'm actually not sure what it was. Some kind of very thick, hearty, vegetable soup. It was great. Our three year old son devoured his cheese panini. I wish we could have hung out longer and enjoyed a coffee, too.

Excellent Cafe for breakfast, lunch and casual light dinner. Food is great and homemade daily. Easy walk from the beach or local hotels. Reasonably priced for the quality of food

Looking for a great cafe in St. Joseph that provides excellent food at an amazingly reasonable price? This is your place. Soups are always fresh and delicious. I especially love the thick minestrone soup -- a bowl of it is very filling and is served with seasoned croutons. My husband loves their chowder. Salads, sandwiches, and pizzas are also wonderful. Save room for dessert. The people who work here are really nice. Highly recommend it.

We were in St. Joe's for a weekend wedding and, all in all, I was pretty unimpressed with most of the meals we had while visiting. We stopped into Caffe Tosi for brunch on our way out of town and it was definitely a great way to end the weekend. Though the ordering/food pick up process is a little stressful-- you yell your order out to someone behind the counter, pay, scramble to find yourself an open table, and then come back up when they call your name to pick up your tray of food-- our brunch was great. I had their mini frittata special-- 3 muffin cup-sized spinach and mushroom frittatas with home fries and turkey sausage and was very pleased. I don't even like breakfast sausage, but this was somehow very good. My fiance ordered the cinnamon french toast and after seeing and tasting it I wish I would have done the same-- it was amazing! Aside from the crazy ordering and food pick up, my only other complaint about the place was retrieving my coffee. Having never been there before I was not aware that the coffee was serve yourself. It's a little confusing and there are tables crowded around the coffee station and the sugar/stirrers are actually behind the counter where the staff is stationed. While the experience was a little offputting, the food was definitely good enough to go back for!

I just love Tosis. I have been coming here since high school and always make a point of going when I'm home visiting my parents from Chicago. The scene is very welcoming and comfortable. You want to sit and talk or read for hours. And you can with the Illy coffee served and Republic Teas. I always get the Smoked Turkey with no cheese which is always amazing. The Bit of Swiss pastries and bread along with the salads and classic Minestrone soup. I miss this place when I'm gone and have yet to find a better sandwich in Chicago.

My wife and I are becoming regulars. Great coffee and tasty food. The place is really laid back. Free wireless helps

They get all their bread and desserts from Bit of Swiss Bakery and the minestrone soup is from Tosi's Restaurant. Which I love. But the soup and special selection has become very redundant and tired. Not a lot of variety even in the summer when Michigan's local bounty is in full bloom and they could be utilizing local flavors. But the regular menu is GREAT consist ant, a little fancier (they use spring greens mix for their salads and for the lettuce on their sandwiches). No kids menu so be prep aired to get adult prices and portions. We really enjoy going for coffee and they have a nice outdoor option which is hard to find in this town. We stop here to eat almost exclusively when we are down town for any festivals or shopping. And its my husband's birthday breakfast request he loves the french toast.

Offers a great variety of daily specials for lunch or (a smaller) dinner. This place is a must if you're looking for something unique in the area (and something other than your typical bar & grille). Butternut squash soup and the California pizza are favorites.

Kind of expensive for lunch, but the food was pretty good. All they really offer is soups, salads, and sandwiches.
